Daniel J. Kersey
Daniel J. Kersey grew up in Brevard County, Florida. Daniel earned an A.S. in Paralegal Studies from what is now Eastern Florida State College, and in 2015 received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, where he earned his Juris Doctor with honors in 2018.
While getting his law degree, Daniel served as External Vice President for the Florida Moot Court Team, winning awards that included “Top 20 Oralist” in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. He also served as the Senior Galleys Editor for the Journal of Technology Law and Policy and externed for the Honorable Wm. Terrell Hodges in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida’s Gainesville Division.
After earning his law degree, Daniel worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Third Circuit, where Daniel prosecuted misdemeanor cases across multiple counties, gaining extensive experience in courtroom negotiations, procedure and etiquette.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys woodworking, agriculture, hunting, fishing, photography, and spending time with his girlfriend, their dogs, friends, and family.
