Jeremy Holt was born in Somerset Kentucky but spent most of his life in Winter Park, Florida. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History (with minors in fine arts and architecture) from Alabama's Auburn University and garnered his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 1998. From 2001 to 2016, Jeremy served several Florida law firms as an associate, of counsel designee, and junior partner. Jeremy also clerked for a federal judge and a Second District Court appellate judge.
Jeremy's legal experience includes transactions for Major League Baseball involving the purchase of the Montreal Expos and the subsequent sale of those assets to the Washington Nationals, and for the U.S. Navy for which Jeremy conducted a title and survey review for a nearly billion-dollar bond-financed national base reconstruction/improvement project. Jeremy has handled numerous transactions involving real-estate and asset secured loans in amounts of up to $96 million.
Working out of our office located in Lake Sumter Landing, Jeremy represents lenders, developers, landlords and tenants in complex commercial real estate transactions, and is experienced in special financing transactions such as asset-secured and mezzanine loans. He has negotiated, closed and documented loans for a wide variety of community and national lending institutions, and has represented developers and investors in connection with all forms of acquisition and disposition, both residential and commercial.
