(LEESBURG, FL 2019) The law offices of McLin Burnsed are expanding their estate-planning legal team to include attorney Jennifer Wolgamott. Ms. Wolgamott holds a Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law and a B.A. in Christian Counseling from The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville. While attending law school at night, Ms. Wolgamott served two legal social work internships, one at the Homelessness and Legal Advocacy Clinic and the other at the Guardian Ad Litem Clinic. Her legal studies included contract drafting and interviewing, counseling and negotiation.
Prior to practicing estate-planning law, Ms. Wolgamott spent her career assisting those less fortunate, including children and families in the community, and now applies the same sensitivity, care and concern serving her estate planning clients. “One thing we all share is a desire to protect the people and causes we care about,” says Ms. Wolgamott. “Estate planning law is a way for me to help others safeguard what’s important to them, and I’m pleased to be with a firm that is sensitive to their needs and interests.”
Currently Ms. Wolgamott volunteers at the Christian Care Center, a ministry of the First Baptist Church Leesburg, where her husband serves as worship pastor. She works with the homeless, children in crisis and victims of domestic violence, including providing pro bono legal services. Ms. Wolgamott currently serves on the Foundation Board for Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter.
She and her husband are licensed foster parents for Lake County, Florida, and their family of six lives in Leesburg.
