Summer Associate Program
Summer Associate Program
Each year McLin & Burnsed selects a small group of highly qualified law students to participate in our summer associate program. The primary goals of this program are to introduce the student to the people and culture that make up our Firm; to give him or her a meaningful learning experience and to provide them with a hands-on view of the work we do. We make every effort to involve each Summer Associate in the daily practice of law at McLin & Burnsed and to expose them to as many different practice areas as possible by rotating them through each major practice section of the Firm.
At McLin & Burnsed, a Summer Associate is given the opportunity to research real time legal questions, to draft legal pleadings, memoranda, contracts and estate planning documents, and to attend client meetings, depositions and court appearances. While he or she is exposed to as many of the facets of a working law practice, they are also establishing a relationship with our partners and lawyers. Many of our present associates participated in our Summer Associate Program, saying, when they returned after graduation, that the summer experience was instrumental in their decision to join the Firm.
