G. Michael Mahoney was born on February 14, 1965 in Leesburg, Florida. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Lake-Sumter Community College in 1985 and then transferred to Florida State University to earn his Bachelor of Sciences degree in 1987. He earned his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Stetson University in 1991.

Mike Mahoney joined the Firm in May, 1991 and became a partner in November, 2001. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Labor Law Section, the Florida Bar Association's Trial Lawyers and Employment Law Sections and the Lake County Bar Association. In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor at the Lake Sumter Community College teaching courses in Civil Litigation for the paralegal program at the college.

Today, Mike Mahoney's law practice focuses on commercial collections, construction and commercial litigation, and employment law. He is General Counsel to Bailey Industries, Inc., (a large, multi-faceted construction company based in Leesburg) and also represents several local and national banks handling creditor foreclosures, collections and bankruptcies.
