Fred A. Morrison is a native of Leesburg, Florida, born on May 25, 1954. He received his Associate of Arts degree magna cum laude in 1974 from Lake-Sumter Community College, a Bachelor of Arts, with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1976 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law, with High Honors, in 1979. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1979 and has practiced with McLin & Burnsed P.A. since then. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and served as Secretary of that organization for a number of years. He is also a member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Real Property Problem Study Committee of the Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. Locally, he has served as President of the Leesburg Jaycees and as President of Hospice of Lake & Sumter Inc., and he continues as Director Emeritus of that organization.

Fred Morrison is lead counsel for the City of Leesburg, handling all aspects of the representation of the City, including land use and zoning, drafting of ordinances and contracts, and municipal litigation. He also assists the City and the School Board of Lake County with complex real property transactions, and on behalf of non-governmental clients, he handles commercial leasing and sales transactions, commercial lending and borrowing (representing both borrowers and lenders), and real property related litigation such as foreclosures, boundary disputes, access problems and title insurance claims.
